A somewhat patchy match as the results suggest. Roach and Perch making up the weights with only a smattering of small Skimmers putting in an appearance.
Nige C fished the pole at 9.5 metres, feeding hemp , groundbait and pinkie for the only double figure net on the day and got his League off to the perfect start.
Very well done Nige.

Split pegging today utilising the shelter of the respective roadside banks.
Sam fished pinkie over groundbait at 9 metres , clinching the win with a bonus Skimmer topping up his small fish on a very hard day. Well done Sam.
Those pegged on the Northern failed to muster anything of note on the pole and it was an odd bonus Skimmer on the feeder that made the difference.

Christmas Match

Whittle Dene Match & Northern Lakes
Extremely cold and windy conditions made fishing very difficult and the fish didn't seem to like it either!

Fishing and feeding maggot on the pole at 11 metres he caught Carp at regular intervals to end with 28 for a well deserved win. Well done Nige.

The consistent right hand bank was the place to be in today's low weight, ice affected match. Nige C came out on top in a next peg battle with Terry C with a net of 34 fish, mainly small Roach on the pole and Pinkie. With 3 wins and a second already he will take some catching.
Well done again Nige.

A better day weather wise than round 4, although the water temperatures will no doubt have been pretty low. Small fish ensured everyone had bites and it was Tom who made the most of them. With his pole line failing to produce , as it did for several others, he built his winning net on the waggler and maggot holding off Lee's next peg challenge.
Well done Tom

Alders lake at Sessay certainly was a tough nut to crack for most today with only a handful of fish coming to pole tactics . Bucking the trend was Nige C who made the most of the deeper water to put together his net of Ide , Roach and the odd small Skimmer on the pole and maggot to secure another win.
Having had a check of the league positions and potential maximum scores he is now in an unassailable position even though 3 rounds remain.

Pleasant enough conditions to fish in and plenty of small stuff moving before the all in. A very slow start though for the majority.
Although hampered by the wind , the right hand bank was again the place to be. Terry made the most of his draw with a net of Roach and Perch on the pole to hold off Mark who included a big Perch and the only Crucian of the day in his catch.
Well done Terry and framers.
